Hello Dinner Group!
Sorry this is getting out so late, but I ran into a little road block!
As some of you know, I have been planning to have the 2nd Wednesday dinner for November at Bombay Cricket Club. However, after talking with the restaurant they just were not able to commit to accommodating such a large group during their rush hour dinner time. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. Reservations is a must!
So, sorry to disappoint you BUT, I really think you will like the new place I picked. It's called Equinox Restaurant and Bar. As you can see from their menu (www.equinoxrestaurantpdx.com/dinner) they have a variety of cuisine and everyone can find something to enjoy!
Please get your RSVP to me by end of day Monday the 12th so that I can call the restaurant with the final number. Unfortunately I won't be there, as I will be leaving for vacation on Tuesday morning (that's why I need the count early).

I really enjoyed this place! The cocktails were wonderful, the food was delicious, and the setting was great. It is a nice space, inside and out. A few of my fellow patrons thought it was a little dark inside, but my eyes didn't have any trouble reading the menu. Our wait staff was very helpful and attentive; I don't think my water glass stayed empty for more than 2 minutes. I'll be going back again soon, that's for sure!
I thought it was one of the best choices this year! Such an interesting way to prepare a pork loin (with Lemon Cilantro). My taste buds are used to using BBQ on pork but this was great! The polenta was so perfectly prepared that the taste buds sang with delight on the first bite. mmmm
The waiter was excellent with making sure we always had our drinks refilled & was at ease with such a big group. I had the chocolate peanut butter mousse for dessert which was tasty & also nicely presented. The only downfall to this place for me was that it has street parking only. Hollywood
Fabulous! My only regret is that the Cheeseburger couldn't attend. My pumpkin gnocchi were light and luscious. I have found my new favourite fruitie drink; heavy on the Pepper Vodka! I recommend this restaurant with great gusto. Buono Appetito!
I liked this place a lot! The food was really good - my salmon was excellent & the squash-potato mash underneath was superb. I did find it hard to read the menu because of the low light level, but I liked the feeling of the space so much it compensated. My water glass was never empty, and I never even noticed it being refilled. And though we did have to park on the street, had no trouble finding a spot within easy walking distance. It was relatively uncrowded too. Two thumbs up!
Excellent food. The calamari appetizer was scrumptious; the stuffed chicken on potato /apple puree was equally good--exceptionally tender and flavorful chicken breast. The waiter was very attentive and the ambiance very pleasant. My favorite of the year!

Delicious Pork Loin sitting on top of the creamiest,richest polenta - best I have ever had! The wild mushroom wonton appetizer could be a little heavier on the mushrooms and lighter on the cheese but was still very tasty. They also make a decent martini. Our waiter was terrific - easy going, knowledgable and certainly nobody was going to go thirsty! I liked the environment inside and I would love to come and eat outside when weather permits - very attractive patio dining area. Missed you, Cheeseburger!
Cheeseburger...you were right; this is a great spot! Being a late-comer I did have to hunt for parking but who cares when the place is so nice? The atmosphere had a spash of elegance and the waiter made it all look so easy.
I had salad with figs which was most tasty but the polenta was most most most tasty! Good flavors of pork, lemon and cilantro; things I cook with quite a bit, but never together like this. Im anxious to go back and try some more dishes. We might just have to have "a repeat" next summer here when the patio is open. Thanks for all the good company! Alice K
