Peruvian food is on the menu for our November 2nd Wed dinner at del Inti.

"del Inti is a new Pervuvian - northwest inspired restaurant highlighting the northwest's seasonality with a Peruvian flair"

Rick and I have eaten here twice - and had good food and service both times.

Well, I wasn't quite ready to let summer go, but, now that its autumn, I thought a hearty meal would be in order to cushion us from the cold. I have heard good buzz about this place so I picked the Laurelhurst Market for our October 14th dinner. Okay, from the responses I got it looks like PHO is the choice due to it's location in town. I tried to call for reservations just now but the guy couldn't understand me so I will drop by in person this wknd to see if they will take a reservation. It is street parking so you'll have to park on Sandy or in the neighborhood around there. I plan to walk from my house so if you want to park at my place & walk, be at my house at 6:15p Holly

It is my turn to pick a restaurant for August. I chose an Italian restaurant called Lucca. It is located @ 3449 NE 24th Ave - the corner of NE 24th and Fremont St. Please go to www.luccapdx.com to see their menu. Their pizza and pasta dishes are very good, and they have a nice bar. Well it's time for our summer potluck again and it will be back out at Tomahawk Bay Moorage this year. July 8th is the date. Please let me know what you are planning to bring so we can make sure we have a variety of yummy food. See you in a couple of weeks! I have utensils, plates and cups covered!

From the South (Portland)
Drive North on Interstate 5 to Exit 308. Bear right on the off-ramp to enter Tomahawk Island Drive. You will pass many Marinas but don't be tempted, keep going East. Don't go to Tomahawk Bay Marina! Continue East 1.25 miles, and through a very sharp s-curve. Turn Left into Tomahawk Bay parking lot.

From the North (Vancouver)
Drive South on Interstate 5 to Exit 308. Stay in the left lane of the off-ramp and turn left at the light onto Center Ave. Follow Center Ave under I-5 and East to the first stop sign. Turn right onto Tomahawk Island Drive. You will pass many Marinas but don't be tempted, keep going East. Don't go to Tomahawk Bay Marina! Proceed East 1.25 miles, and through a very sharp s-curve. There is a big open lawn area and some shops there along with the leasing office.

Okay, I checked Russell Street Bar B Que and it was very good. BUT unfortunately, they don't take reservations. Then I thought of Ken's Artisan Pizza. Again ,they don't take reservations.

Hi All,

In a nod to my Wisconsin roots (fried cheese curds--yum) I thought we would try Hawthorne Fish House at 4343 SE Hawthorne. They share a website with Corbett Fish House. Please let me know if you can come or not. I've made reservations for 12 at 6:30.

Since it is getting close to Jan dinner date & no one has claimed it, I guess I will take it. I've chosen Miss Delta.

I made a tentative reservation for Wed, Jan 14 at 6:30pm for 12. Guessing nowhere near that will make it but better to be high than low on the count. I told them I'd adjust to a closer to realistic number next week. I picked this out of the Diner 2008 that came out in June.

They don't have a website with menu items but it is Southern (imagine me picking that!). The write up made my mouth water & it says they are almost always packed which is a good sign.
