It is my turn to pick a restaurant for August. I chose an Italian restaurant called Lucca. It is located @ 3449 NE 24th Ave - the corner of NE 24th and Fremont St. Please go to www.luccapdx.com to see their menu. Their pizza and pasta dishes are very good, and they have a nice bar. I REALLY enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The prosciutto-wrapped peaches were very tasty, the pizza was thin, parmesan-rich and delicious, and the dessert was to die for. Parking was ample, service quite good. The only minus was the noise. But the food was well worth it! --Alice S.
I thought the food was excellent - the special prosciutto-wrapped grilled peaches were really great and the thin crispy pizza was delish (and the side of olives and dessert were very good, too). App + pizza + dessert was perfect for 2 to share. Prices were surprisingly reasonable; wine seemed a little spendy except it came in excellent stemware. And then there's the company... always superb!
